The dresses that Emily Blunt wears in the film were insured
for about $12,000 a piece. Many of the dresses were exact recreations made
from dresses that have remained intact, while others are based off of paintings,
drawings and written descriptions.

The large green bed seen in the movie cost a whopping $30,000
to build. After filming wrapped the bed was purchased by the Duke and Duchess
of Rutland and placed in their estate Belvoir Castle, where much of this
movie was filmed.

In the film there is an assassination attempt that is thwarted
when Prince Albert throws himself in front of a bullet and gets shot. While
there was an assassination attempt on the Queen's life on June, 10 1840
no shots were ever fired and Albert walked away from the even unscathed.

Princess Beatrice of York, Queen Victoria's Great-Great-Great-Great
Granddaughter, has a cameo in the film as one of the Queen's ladies in
waiting.
