Academy
Awards winners Anthony Hopkins (The Silence Of The Lambs) and Benicio
Del Toro (Traffic) tear up the screen in this action-packed thriller.
Lawrence Talbot (Del Toro) is lured back to his family estate to investigate
the savage murder of his brother by a bloodthirsty beast. There, Talbot
must confront his childhood demons, his estranged father (Hopkins), his
brother's grieving fiancee (Emily Blunt, The Devil Wears Prada)
and a suspicious Scotland Yard Inspector (Hugo Weaving, The Matrix
trilogy). When Talbot is bitten by the creature, he becomes eternally cursed
and soon discovers a fate for worse than death.
Inspired by
the classic Universal film that launched a legacy of horror, The Wolfman
brings the myth of a cursed man back to its iconic origins.

THE
GEEK BOX TRIVIA TO IMPRESS YOUR EASILY IMPRESSED FRIENDS
This movie is a remake of the 1941 film of the same name
written by Curt Siodmak.
When this film was originally green-lit by Universal in 2006
it was scheduled to come out in 2007, however after numerous conflicts
with directors and budgets, the film was pushed back numerous times until
it was finally released in 2010. All of the directors and actors changed
as it was passed from director to director, Benicio Del Toro was the only
person who was attached to the film from beginning to end.
Makeup artist Rick Baker was inspired into his profession
by the work on the original Wolfman film. He begged executives at
Universal for the chance to work on this film. He got his wish, and even
earned himself a cameo as a gypsy.
Perhaps foretelling his work in this film, Benicio Del Toro's
first film credit was as the Dog Faced Boy in Big-Top Pee-wee. Coincidentally
both films were scored Danny Elfman.
