    John Candy and Richard Lewis star in this hilarious unconventional look at the legendary West.
    When Phil Taylor (Lewis) and his family decide that the Old West  is not what it's cracked up to be, they take the entire town of Prosperity with them. Led by wagon master Harlow (Candy), they begin the heroic, backbreaking, danger-filled journey back... EAST! Along the way, they must survive indians, hired guns, each other and Harlow's terrible secret. Because when the going gets tough, the tough go back home!

TRIVIA TO IMPRESS YOUR EASILY IMPRESSED FRIENDS

• This was John Candy's last film, he actually died while making it. As a result some uncompleted scenes had to be filmed using a stand in, while others were simply re-written without his character in them. The completed film was dedicated to his memory.
• John Candy reportedly did not want to make this movie, but was forced to do so because of a contract he had previously signed.
