• This film is based on actual events and actual people.
• Originally the German government refused to allow this movie to shot on the actual Bendler Block, however they changed their mind after a personal request from Tom Cruise and screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie promised to start each day of filming with a moment of silence in memory of the real Colonel Claus Von Stauffenberg.
• A few of the scenes in the movie were destroyed after being developed with the wrong chemical treatment, as a result these scenes had to be completely re-shot.
• The real grandson of Stauffenberg, Phillip Von Schulthess appears in this film as Tresckow's aide. In the film Nina Von Stauffenberg is pregnant with Von Schulthless's mother.
