• After seeing director Kurt Wimmer's cut of the film, they took him off the film and the studio completly re-editied this film with out the director's consent or input.
• Writer Kurt Wimmer wrote this script with Milla Jovovich in mind to play the lead.
• At the request of Wimmer, Milla Jovovich punched the director in the face in attepmts to see how intensly she was fighting during action sequences. It resulted in a blackeye.
