THE KID'S QUICKIE REVIEW OF:
GOOD NIGHT, AND GOOD LUCK. (2005)

Ooo! A black and white historical drama?! Fuck, get me to the theater! I know that's not what you're thinking... but you should be. George Clooney is becoming a force to be reckoned with, this is his second go at directing a motion picture (his first being Confessions Of A Dangerous Mind, no not the one about angry black kids... that's different.) and this movie too kicks ass. Set right during the climax of the McCarthy era, David Strathairn plays news reporter Edward R. Murrow, who in a brilliant piece of work stands up to McCarthy even with the treat of being called a Commie. Good Luck manages to capture the feeling how standing up to force that seems to be greater than you is frightening but necessary. In a time when it is frowned upon to question our government and those who do are labeled as un-American, this film helps to remind that if we do not remember history we will repeat it. Damn... that was pretty serious.  Cum, shit, piss and balls. There! Better.
