THE KID'S QUICKIE REVIEW OF:
APOCALYPTO

    Let's put aside what we all may think personally of "Crazy" Mel Gibson. Let's just look at this film as that: a piece of film art. It blows. I walked away actually kind of sick from all the violence and blood. And it was violence for violence sake, no real reason for showing all that they did. It's my opinion that the audience will only go along so far with realistic violence but with over the top, i.e. Kill Bill, they will go forever. In addition to that, the movie is boring as hell. It takes over an hour for the "chase" of this "chase movie" to start but when it does it never goes anywhere. There is one cool section with a Jaguar but I could see that on Animal Planet. I didn't take away the things that I was supposed to from the movie: Family is the most important thing,  and be a man and defend what you love. I just wanted it to be over as quick as possible and the next Lethal Weapon to start.
