THE KID'S QUICKIE REVIEW OF:
THE 40-YEAR-OLD VIRGIN (2005)

    What a delight to have the R rated comedy back! Movie studios have been pandering to the almighty dollar for too long. Who cares if 13 year olds can't see the movie? Fuck them! This movie was dirty dirty dirty but never offensive or unnecessarily crude; for god sake's the title does more than imply that it's about getting a man laid. Yes it's a one joke concept but it works beautifully. Steve Carell is a man-god. I say this not only because he is hairy like animal, but because he can do dead pan comedy like no other, then pull out some crazy wacky shit, then tie it all up with a sincere make you say Awww moment. We haven't seen the likes of this talent in a long long time. The entire cast is really good but some standout ones come from Paul Rudd, Jane Lynch and the always fantastic Catherine Keener. One of the funniest moments come when Jane Lynch, who plays his boss, approaches Carell's character and offers to be his Fuck Buddy and then proceeds to sing a Spanish love song. Brilliant! This is by far one of the funniest movies I've ever seen so you better get off your lame virgin ass as, go get fucked by the gas pump then head over to see this film!
