Aaron Eckhart stars as Nick Naylor, a sexy, charismatic spin-doctor for Big Tobacco who'll fight to protect America's right to smoke - even if it kills him - while still remaining a role model for his 12 year-old son.
    When he incurs the wrath of a senator (William H. Macy) bent on snuffing out cigarettes, Nick's powers of "filtering the truth" will be put to the test. As Nick says, "If you want an easy job, go work for the Red Cross." With a smokin' all-star cast that includes Rob Lowe, Maria Bello, Katie Holmes, Adam Brody and Robert Duvall, this "fiendishly funny" (Good Morning America) comedy will prove seriously addictive.

TRIVIA TO IMPRESS YOUR EASILY IMPRESSED FRIENDS

• This film is based on the book by Christopher Buckley.
• Writer/Director Jason Reitman wrote personal hand written letters to all of the stars of the movie asking them to be in his film and telling them what part they would have and why they were perfect for the role. Everyone he wrote letters to accepted their roles and thanked him for the letter.
• Sam Elliott originally didn't want to take a role in the film because he wanted his character to refuse the bribe from the cigarette company. After much convincing Elliott agreed to do the role, but he got Reitman to have his character use his own personal rifle in the film instead of the shotgun that was scripted.
• Throughout the entire film, no one in the cast can be seen smoking or even holding a cigarette, The only appearance of a cigarette appears in an old black white movie Naylor watches, and when Robert Duvall holds a cigar, which is never lit.
