• The communicator that Qui-Gon Jinn uses in this film is actaully a Sensor Excel Razor For Women, slightly modified.
• George Lucas managed to keep his deal with Fox that he would give up his salary for directing this movie, and in return he would own the rights to the final cut of the film and recieve rights to all toys and commercial tie-ins. He did the same thing with the original film.
• Ewen McGregor made light saber noises in his battles that had to be edited out in post production.
• Queen Amidala, played by Natalie Portman, has two handmaidens in this movie. One is Keira Knightly who plays Sabe who is used as the Queen's decoy, and the other is played by Soffia Coppola.
• Haley Joel Osment was among the children who audtioned for the role of young Anakin and didn't get it.
