DESCRIPTION:

It is a dark time for the Rebellion. After a devastating attack on their ice base on the frozen planet of Hoth, the Rebels are scattered by Imperial pursuit. Luke Skywalker seeks out the mysterious Jedi Master Yoda in the swamps of Dagobah, while Han Solo and Princess Leia outrun the Imperial fleet to the beautiful Cloud City of Bespin. In an attempt to convert Luke to the dark side, the evil Darth Vader lures young Skywalker into a trap. In the midst of a fierce lightsaber duel with the Sith Lord, Luke faces a terrible truth about the Skywalker legacy.

The asteroids were obviously not real in this movie, however one of the asteroids was a shoe and another was a potato.
In the 2004 re-release of the film the actor Clive Revill who played the Emperor was replaced by Ian McDiarmid who played the Emperor in the prequels for continuity purposes. However, Clive Revill's name is still credited in the end.
Harrison Ford wasn't sure if he would be back for the final Star Wars movie, so the line in the script had to be changed in the scene where he is about to be frozen. The script called for Han to answer Leia when she says "I love you." with the line: "Just remember that Leia, because I'll be back." So the director rolled film and told Harrison Ford to just say something, so he ad libbed "I know."
Carrie Fisher stood on a crate to make up the more than a foot height difference between her and Harrison Ford in many scenes.
Even though everyone knows that George Lucas was involved in this movie, I just needed his name to be on this page, he wrote the story, just not the actual script for this movie.
Irvin Kershner was one of George Lucas' instructors in college, and at first declined the offer to direct this movie, until his agent convinced him otherwise.
