TRIVIA TO IMPRESS YOUR EASILY IMPRESSED
FRIENDS
-
This movie has a death count of exactly 100 people. In the
process of killing all of these people on screen more than 15 gallons of
blood was used, and Smith used 18 different guns to kill them.
-
In the opening fight scene Clive Owen's character is using
a Walther PPK, the same gun that James Bond uses, a role which Owen lost
to Daniel Craig. The PPK jams up on him and he throws it down calling it
a "piece of shit", which may be a joke aimed at the fact he did not get
the role.
-
The actual baby Oliver seen in this movie was cast while
still in the womb. Producers had selected a woman pregnant with twins whose
due date was the same time the movie was set to shoot. This was done because
they wanted Oliver to look like an actual newborn baby, and they needed
twins to swap out due the extremely limited hours they can use an infant
on screen.
