TRIVIA TO IMPRESS YOUR EASILY IMPRESSED FRIENDS

• In the film there is no mention that the two star horses Seabiscuit and War Admiral are related, having both been sired by the horse Hardtack. In addition it is said numerous time that War Admiral is much larger than Seabiscuit, but in reality the two horses were about the same size.
• Gary Stevens who plays George Woolf is a real life jockey who won the George Woolf Memorial Jockey award in 1996.
• 10 different horses all share the role of Seabisucit, and in an effort to keep the speeds up they were never allowed to run a distance of more than three furlongs (3/10 of a mile).
• The horse used to play the part of War Admiral is a descendent of the real War Admiral named Verboom.
