Robin Williams is on top form as an over-worked husband and father trying to keep it all together in RV, an outrageous family comedy that everyone can relate to.
    The Munro family is really looking forward to their vacation in Hawaii, so when dad's boss says he must attend a meeting in Colorado or lose his job, he is desperate for an alternative plan. He drags his reluctant family on the road trip with the promise that they will bond during their quality time together. Right from the get-go it's obvious it's going to be a bumpy and hilarious ride!

• Part of theme from Star Trek can be heard in the "Happy Max" horn on the RV that the Gornickes drive.
• Jeff Daniels has been a life long fan of RVing, a fact that producers of the film were not aware of. In fact producers had him signed up for RV driving lessons which were not canceled until the actor showed up on set in his own personal RV.
• Director Barry Sonnenfeld's daughter Chloe Sonnenfeld can be seen in this movie as Moon Gornicke.
