-
Mr. T and Dolph Lundgren were both asked to reprise their
roles from earlier Rocky films, however they both refused to appear
and as a result they are only seen in archive footage and flashbacks.
-
Sylvester Stallone had said in interviews one of the reasons
he wrote this movie was because he felt Rocky V was a weak movie
and he didn't want his franchise to go out on a low note. This may be why
there are flashbacks of every other Rocky movie except V.
-
The computer simulation boxing match seen in this movie was
most likely based on the 1968 incident in which a computer simulation analyzed
every possible move that Muhammad Ali has, as well that of former boxer
Rocky Marciano. The computer determined that Rocky would have beat out
Ali in the third round.
-
Sylvester Stallone's son, Sage Stallone who played Rocky
Balboa Jr. in Rocky V, was asked to come back for this movie, however
he had to turn down the role due to scheduling conflicts.
