Notes:

The names of the twins were changed from Sharon and Susan to Annie and Hallie. The change reflects the names of the director Nancy Meyers and producer Charles Shyer's children.
Joanna Barnes played the evil girlfriend in the original movie, and in this movie she plays the mother of the girlfriend.
Michelle Tractenberg auditioned for the lead role, but Lindsay Lohan beat her out after director Nancy Meyers hand picked her for the role.
This movie is a remake of the 1960 film of the same name, which was based on the book Das Doppelte Loottchen by Eric Kastner.
David Swift, one of the writers of this film also directed wrote the script for the original 1960 movie.
