• This movie is based of a cartoon called Milton which appeared on Saturday Night Live that was also created by Mike Judge who wrote and directed the film adaptation.
• This movie has achieved a great following since being released on DVD, Judge said he would never be allowed to do a sequel due to poor box office sales, but since then the DVD has become one of the highest grossing DVD's in 20th Century Fox's library. He was offered the chance to do a sequel but declined saying the first movie was too much work.
