    Business blooms at Mushnik's Flower Shop when an exotic potted plant called Audrey II arrives. It turns out to be a carnivorous "mean, green mother from outer space," filling that little shop with horrors.
    Little Shop Of Horrors first flowered in a low-budget 1960 Roger Corman movie, resorted as a smash 1980 off-Broadway musical and now comes full circle in this 1986 movie musical adaptation of the stage hit with multiple Academy Award winners Alan Menken and Howard Ashman.
    An all-star cast of comedy pros spreads tentacles of pleasure. And this DVD is packed with new and never-before seen extras.

TRIVIA TO IMPRESS YOUR EASILY IMPRESSED FRIENDS

• This movie is based off the 1980 musical stage play of the same name, which is itself based off a low budget 1960 film of the same name.
• Bill Murray ad-libbed all of his lines.
• While most theater goers talk about the fact that 4 songs from the show were cut for the movie, two new songs were added. Some Fun Now was based on the song Ya Never Know from the play, and Mean Green Mother From Outer Space is completely new!
• In the original script both Audrey and Seymour get eaten by Audrey II and then the plant begins terrorizing the city. All of this had to be changed after negative screening reactions from audiences.
• Ellen Greene, who plays Audrey, is the only person from the off-Broadway production to make it to the film version.
• Levi Stubbs of The Four Tops was the voice of Audrey II for the film.
