• In order to help Ryan Gosling stay in character the doll was treated like an actual person on set by all actors and crew even when the cameras weren't rolling. The doll even had it's own trailer where it was dressed for each of it's scenes.
• The doll has seven different faces that were used to express the emotions that Lars was projecting on their relationship throughout the film.
