This is the first Michael Bay film that was not produced
by Jerry Bruckheimer.

If you look carefully you can see the Lexus concept car that
was used in Minority Report, it can be seen right before the 1st
car chase.

The Calvin Klein photos scene in Tom's house are actual ads
that Ewan McGregor shot for the company, and the black and white commercial
featuring Scarlett Johansson is an actual commercial that she filmed as
well.

The futuristic Los Angeles was created by filming the city
of Detroit and covering some of the buildings up with fake CGI futuristic
looking buildings.

Michael Bay was responsible for the idea of train wheels
falling off the truck during the chase scene. He said he was inspired by
driving behind a flatbed truck carrying a load of train wheels and thought
it would make a good scene.
