Invincible is the inspiring true story of Vince Papale, an ordinary guy who, against extraordinary odds, gets a one-in-a-gazillion shot at living every sports fan's wildest fantasy. This movie was based on the actual events of Philadelphia Eagle Vince Papale.
In the film a boy can be seen running down the street wearing Vince Papale's jersey # 83. This boy is Papale's real-life son.
This film was made with support from the Philadelphia Eagles and the NFL. It was also supported by many of the former Eagles' players who allowed their names and likeness to be used in the film. Papale himself was also an advisor on the film.
Greg Kinnear helped prepare for his role as Dick Vermail by shadowing the coach in his final season with the Kansas City Chiefs.
