TRIVIA TO IMPRESS YOUR EASILY IMPRESSED FRIENDS

• This film is named after the 1978 film Inglorious Bastards which also has a plot that revolves around Nazi's, however the film is not a remake it is in fact an entirely original story. When asked why the title of the movie is misspelled as Inglourious Basterds Tarantino refused to answer claiming that revealing that would "take the piss out of it".
• Quentin Tarantino wrote the majority of this film before he wrote The Kill Bill series, however he was unable to write an ending that he liked and he shelved the project.
• Chrsitoph Waltz has starred in numerous projects in Germany, but this role marks his first in an American film, and it also earned him his first Golden Globe nomination.
• Writer/Director Quentin Tarantino has a voice-over cameo in the film-within-the-film Nation's Pride as the soldier who yells "I implore you, we must destroy that tower!"
