• Cate Blanchett said she was able to stay in character and learn to walk like a man by constantly wearing a sock down the front of her pants whenever she was playing her character.
• Originally the role of Robbie Clark was given to Colin Ferrell, however he had to give up the role to Heath Ledger when he entered rehab for his addiction to back medication. Ferrell would later be one of the three actors replacing Ledger in The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus after Ledger's sudden death.
