While in costume Nick Frost and Simon Pegg were often mistaken for real police officers and were frequently stopped for directions. According to them, the pair often played along because it made them feel "powerful".
Danny's massive DVD collection is actual a combination of director Edgar Wright, his brother Oscar Wright and friend Joe Cornish's actual combined collection.
Oscar winners Cate Blanchett and Peter Jackson have disguised brief cameos in this film. Jackson plays the Santa Clause that stabs Nicholas Angel, and Cate Blancett plays Angel's ex-girlfriend.
