HEFE'S QUICKIE REVIEW OF:
REIGN OVER ME (2007)

    I am going to be honest, I was interested in seeing this movie, but seeing as now that I am with child I only get to see about 4 movies a year in the theater, and I was itching to see 300. But it just so happens that it was my wife's birthday and she was more interested in seeing this movie, and so we saw this. But I am actually really glad we did because it was a lot better than I was expecting it to be. I knew Adam Sandler could act after seeing Punch Drunk Love, but this was a whole other level! I seriously think he may have a shot at an Oscar nod, I know it's hard to believe the guy who made his shampoo and conditioner fight in a bath tub would be that good, but he was, and he was not the only part of the movie that was good either. Don Cheadle also put in an excellent turn in this movie, and I am no expert of the periodic table, but I think I can safely say these two had excellent chemistry (It's not often I can make a joke about the perodic table so even if that wasn't funny I am really fucking happy about it). The direction was great the writing was great, this was just a really great surprising movie, and if you are lucky enough to have a girl to take to a movie, I recommend you take her to see this one. Besides from what I hear, you don't want your girlfriend comparing your body to the Spartan's in 300 anyway.
