HEFE'S REVIEW OF:
FRIENDS WITH MONEY (2006)

OPENING THOUGHTS

Unlike The Kid, I watched this movie because my wife wanted to, not because I am a lesbian. Anyway being that I am a big strong man with a big fat cock I can't say I was excited about this movie. But I sucked it up, sat down and waited for what I hoped would be a movie with repeated titty shots, but would my hopes be dashed against the rocks like a boat full of argonauts? Only the review will tell you.

ACTING

JENNIFER ANISTON played a girl who couldn't find a guy who wasn't a dick. For some reason she kept choosing guys like Scott Caan, which come on, she was Rachel on Friends, she could do better than that, hell she could get me... if she paid me that is. Anyway she was ok, but she will always be Rachel no matter how much she fights it. She should just retire and play with herself all day.
JOAN CUSACK didn't impress me really either in this film, and I didn't like her bull dyke haircut either, I mean doesn't she look weird enough without a haircut like that? Answer me!
CATHERINE KEENER is a little fire cracker, I like her a lot, and I think she is one of the most under-rated actresses out there. She is definitely one of my favorites and one of the few actresses that can pull off being hot and being talented at the same time.
FRANCES MCDORMAND did a great job, now she is someone who is talented, but can't pull off the hot thing like Keener can. Which is fine, she usually does a great job, but in this movie she looked worse then ever, I mean she looked like refried shit that was dropped on the floor, pissed on, and then gang banged. But it was appropriate for the character, so all I can say is good job.

DIRECTION AND SCRIPT

NICOLE HOLOFCENER wrote and directed this movie and I have to say the dialogue was surprisingly smart and flowed together very nicely. Normally I don't think women do as good of a job in this area, but I think Holofcener was talking about a subject she knows a lot about. I would not be at all surprised if this script was very close to her real life, I couldn't help but notice that Catherine Keener's character was a screenwriter.

THE VERDICT

This movie was surprisingly interesting, a fact even more amazing since the movie was almost completely dialogue driven. Don't get your hopes up about seeing titties though, you can just forget it because all you are going to get is Desperate Housewives: The Movie.
