HEFE'S REVIEW OF:
THE ARISTOCRATS

OPENING THOUGHTS

Man I fucking love swearing, I mean I think it is the salt and pepper of language, it makes everything have an alluring sound. Those of you who read my reviews know just how serious I am. So how could a movie that consists of America's most famous comedians telling a joke that consists of nothing but swearing, incest, shit eating, and bestiality not be funny? Well, I will tell you... and maybe fuck your dog...

ACTING

BOB SAGET is the guy that everyone knows as the happy dickless papa from Full House and the guy who gives crotch biting dogs a high pitched drag queen voice on America's Funniest Home Videos. But a few people know a much darker side, aside that is seldom revealed... a side that was first revealed to me in Half Baked when I heard him shout "I sucked dick for coke!" Now that side is completely out in the open thanks to this movie. Saget's delivery of the joke is one of the raunchiest, longest, and most creative. I salute you Bob Saget, now make a movie in which you star as the lead man and shatter your combed over pussy image!
GEORGE CARLIN told one of the more simple versions of the joke, but it was still one of the best. He didn't try to add a bunch of unnecessary jumble to the joke, he told it straight across adding his own special details that made me smile and question how straight my shit would shoot out of me if trying to hit a mouth sized target. I love pondering life, just like Descartes.
GILBERT GOTTFRIED was also fucking hilarious in this movie, an idea that is foreign to me. He has always just been that squrrily little butt fuck who goes around whining about life in a horrible voice. Oh, and what is with the squinting, I can't even see his eyes, and that makes me not trust him, the guy could be asleep and I would have no idea because his eyes always look fucking closed. But, I digress, the point is I was impressed with his delivery, and the way he made me rethink my opinion of Popeye.
THE SUPPORTING CAST consisted of about 5 other funny people which include Sarah Silverman, Billy The Mime, and Taylor Negron. The other 90 people in the movie were painfully unfunny, rehashing pathetic attempts to make the joke their own, but unwittingly telling the joke pretty much the same way all of the others did. Yawn, I have no time for that sort of thing.

DIRECTION AND SCRIPT

PAUL PROVENZA directed this movie, and by direct I mean he showed up for most of the filming. The fragile direction this movie had at the beginning of the movie was lost completely by about 20 minutes in. You are then left with a series of fractured jokes inter-cut in such a way that comedians who might have been funny fall flat on their asses. All in all from a movie standpoint probably one of the worst documentaries I have ever seen, although learning about this famous underground joke was fairly interesting.

THE VERDICT

If you are curious about the movie, watch it, because that is the only way you will ever be satisfied, but I think the majority of people will not really enjoy this movie. Even people who don't get offended by anything will I think be bored throughout most of the film, and the other 98% of the people in the world will just return the move to the local video store saying they didn't realize what this move was about when they picked it up and they want a refund because of all of the "foul fucking language." The special features of this movie make up for some of the shittiness as you can scroll through to your favorite comedians and watch there performance uncut, and for this I recommend watching. Besides even though there are only a few really funny parts, they are pretty damn funny. Like big double D man boobs are funny, but the rest of the man is painfully sad.
