According to Warner Brother's this movie was originally intended
to be a straight to video release, they only changed their minds to send
in to theaters after the film was completed. However after the film made
a suprising $40 million of it's modest $12 million budget, a third movie
was greenlit just months after the release of this film.

Neil Patrick Harris' scenes were shot in just 4 days.

Amnesty International showed up at screenings of this film
in major cities handing out fliers about the real abuse going on at Guantanamo
Bay's prison while protesting this film for making light of the situation
over there.
