WHAT THE STUDIO WANTS YOU TO KNOW
DESCRIPTION:
Critics are calling Ben Affleck's
directorial debut "mesmerizing." When two young private detectives (Casey
Affleck, Good Will Hunting, and Michelle Monaghan, Mission Impossible
III) are hired to take a closer look into the mysterious disappearance
of a little girl, they soon unravel a multitude of twists and turns where
nothing is what it seems. Ultimately they must risk everything - their
relationship their sanity, and even their lives - in the search to find
her. Casey Affleck and Morgan Freeman are electrifying, and Amy Ryan (Capote)
delivers "a vibrant, knockout performance" in this edge-of-your-seat crime
drama. Gone Baby Gone "will have you talking long after it's over."

Although this is billed as Ben Affleck directorial debut,
he actually directed two other films before this that never made it to
theatrical release including 1993's I Killed My Lesbian Wife, Hung Her
on a Meat Hook, and Now I Have a Three-Picture Deal at Disney.

Amy Ryan's Boston accent was so convincing that director
Ben Affleck, a narive Bostonian, asked her what part of Boston she was
from during her audition. After landing the role she was held up by security
guards on the first day of shooting because they mistook her for a fan
trying to gain access to the closed set.
