-
This film was completed in 2002, however it was not released
until 2004. This was because Dreamworks was debating on whether or not
to release this as a straight-to-video movie due to very low test screening
score. It was only decided to release the film after School Of Rock
also starring Jack Black, had a good run at the box office. However after
this film performed poorly in the box-office it was decided to release
the film in Europe straight-to-video.
-
Jack Black and producer Jeffrey Katzenberg of Dreamworks
made a public apology for making this film at the Cannes Film Festival
in 2004.
