DESCRIPTION:
Christine Brown (Allison Lohman)
is on her way to having it all: a devoted boyfriend, and a bright future.
But when she's forced to make a tough decision that evicts an elderly woman
from her house, Christine becomes the victim of an evil curse. Now she
has only three days to dissuade a dark spirit from stealing her soul before
she is dragged to hell for an eternity of unthinkable torment. Director
Sam Raimi (Spider-Man) and The Evil Dead Trilogy) returns

Sam and Ivan Raimi actually wrote the first draft of
this script shortly after completing Army Of Darkness. The original
script was called The Curse and was put on hold so that Raimi could
pursue other projects. He was set to make this his next project when he
was offered the chance to make Spider-Man, and those three movies
delayed the filming of this movie a further ten years.
-
Sam Raimi used the same Universal logo for the opening of
this movie as was used in the eighties, and at the end of the film used
a title card advertising a visit to Universal Studios, which was also common
in Universal films of the day.
-
Ellen Page was originally offered the lead role in this film,
however she had to drop off the project due to her schedule and the role
was won by Alison Lohman.
