TRIVIA TO IMPRESS YOUR EASILY IMPRESSED FRIENDS

• All of the scenes in which Cole Porter is playing the piano were actually played by Kevin Kline himself. In addition Kline did all of his own singing on set.
• Producers of the film originally passed on asking Ashley Judd to play the role of Linda because they thought she would be out of their price range. It was only after Judd contacted the producers and told them she wanted to play the role that negotiations started.
