WHAT THE STUDIO WANTS YOU TO KNOW

    Woody Wilkins (Michael Crawford), an inventive comic book writer, turns into a bumbling spy and is catapulted on a jet setting trip around the world as Condorman, the comic book hero he created.
    The problems, and the hilarity, starts when Woody falls in love with Russian agent, Natalia (Barbara Carrera) and sets about helping her defect to the United States. However, Natalia's old flame, KGB agent Krokov (Oliver Reed), isn't about to let his prize get away. Krokov has every one of his agents on the run trying to prevent Condorman from aiding Natalia's escape. Crazy disguises, high-tech gadgets and hair-raising fun abound in this light-hearted comic adventure.

TRIVIA TO IMPRESS YOUR EASILY IMPRESSED FRIENDS

• This movie is based off the book The Game Of X by Robert Sheckly.
• Barbara Carrera, who played a female Russian spy in this film, went on to do the same in the James Bond movie Never Say Never Again just two years later.
• This is the only movie that writer Marc Stirdivant ever wrote a screenplay for.
• During a scene in which Condorman is seen falling into the river, originally Michael Crawford did the stunt himself, however he nearly drowned after a strong current pulled him 10 feet underwater lifeguards had to rescue the actor. Despite his willingness to do the stunt again, director Charles Jarrott refused to allow it and him replaced with a stunt man, who does the scene that is shown in the film.
• This is the only movie ever reviewed by the Hollywood Guys to recieve both an "A" rating and and "F" rating.
