In Clash
Of The Titans, the ultimate struggle for power pits men against kings
and kings against gods. But the war between the gods themselves could destroy
the world. Born of a god but raised a man, Perseus (Sam Worthington) is
helpless to save his family from Hades (Ralph Fiennes), vengeful god of
the underworld. With nothing to lose, Perseus volunteers to lead a dangerous
mission to defeat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus (Liam Neeson)
and unleash hell on earth. Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts,
Perseus and his warriors will only survive if Perseus accepts his power
as a god, defies fate and creates his own destiny.

THE
GEEK BOX TRIVIA TO IMPRESS YOUR EASILY IMPRESSED FRIENDS
This film is based on the 1981 film of the same name written
by Beverley Cross.
Stephen Norrington was originally given the job of directing
the film, however Norrington became concerned he could not make a faithful
remake of the film having never seen the original version up to that point.
As a result he decided to hand the reigns over to Louis Leterrier, a self-professed
big fan of the original.
Liam Neeson agreed to appear in this film because his children
are big fans of Greek Mythology, likewise Sam Worthington wanted the lead
role to impress his nine-year-old cousin.
Although they look like sandals, the shoes Sam Worthington
wears in the film are actually Nike trainers with toes painted on the top.
This was because Worthington required shoes with more ankle support for
all of the stunt work that was required of him.
Originally Perseus and Andromeda were supposed to end up
together, however the studio requested that Perseus and Io end up as couple
instead, despite the fact that according to Greek mythology Perseus and
Io are actually related. Perseus is actually Io's great great great great
great great great grandmother as well as Zeus's ex-wife.
