    One of the most popular screen westerns ever made, this Academy Award winning classic blends adventure, romance and comedy to tell the true story of the West's most likeable outlaws. No one is quicker than Butch Cassidy (Paul Newman) when it comes to get rich quick schemes, and his sidekick Sundance (Robert Redford) is a wizard with a gun. When these two bungling bank and train robbers tire of tunning from the law, the set out for Bolivia with Sundance's girlfriend (Katharine Ross). Though they can bareky speak enough Spanish to communicate "This is a stick up", that's only a minor detail to the two nicest "bad-guys" who ever rode the West.

TRIVIA TO IMPRESS YOUR EASILY IMPRESSED FRIENDS

• The name of Butch Cassidy's gang was actually called The Wild Bunch, however this was changed for the movie to The Hole In The Wall Gang because another film was released earlier that year called The Wild Bunch, and they didn't want to confuse people.
• Paul Newman and Robert Redford really jumped off the cliff for the now famous scene, however the pair landed on a ledge six feet below on a mattress.
• Originally Steve McQueen was cast as Sundance and since he was a bigger star than Paul Newman at the time the film was titled Sundance And Butch Cassidy, however when McQueen dropped out of the project the name was reversed as Paul Newman was now the bigger star.
• After Steve McQueen dropped out of the project Jack Lemmon was asked to take over the roll, however he had to turn down the role as he was already committed to filming The Odd Couple.
• The studio had originally asked Bob Dylan to sing the film's best known song Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head, when Dylan declined Burt Bacharach agreed to sing his own song, and earned an Oscar for the effort.
• During the bicycle scene, Paul Newman does all of his own stunts as his stunt man was not able to stay on the bike.
