• This movie is based on the book of the same name by Robert Ludlum, it is both the third book and the third installment in the Bourne series. This was the last Bourne book that Ludlum completed before his death. However since then two additional books have been written, The Bourne Legacy was released in 2004, followed by The Bourne Betrayal in 2007, both by Eric Van Lustbader.
• The film was not able to get the Waterloo Station shut down for filming because it is too busy. So travelers passing through the station are not all actors, and if you watch carefully you can see people in the background pointing at the stars and at the cameras.
• It took more that six weeks of shooting to get all of the shots for the chase scene in Manhattan. Although it looks fast on screen the police would not allow any of the stunt drivers to exceed 35 MPH due to concerns for public safety.
