WHAT THE STUDIO WANTS YOU TO KNOW
DESCRIPTION:
Michael Oher (Quinton Aaron)
knows little about family. Less about football. What the homeless teen
knows are the streets and projects of Memphis. Well-to-do Leigh Anne Tuohy
(Sandra Bullock) knows little about his world. Yet when she and Michael
meet, he's found a home. And the Tuohys have found something just as life-changing:
a beloved new son and brother. This real-life story of family and of Michael's
growth into a blue-chip football star will have you cheering with its mix

TRIVIA TO IMPRESS YOUR EASILY IMPRESSED
FRIENDS
-
This movie is based on the book The Blind Side: Evolution
Of A Game written by Michael Lewis.
-
In addition to the restaurant franchises that Sean Tuohy
talks about owning in the film, he has also been an announcer for the Memphis
Grizzlies basketball team since the year 2000.
-
In the film it depicts Michael Oher as passive and with no
knowledge of football, however in real-life this was not the case. He was
already an experienced football player by the time he started at the school,
and Oher was reportedly very unhappy with how he was depicted in the film.
-
Many of the coaches who come to "court" Oher and try to convince
him to attend their colleges, are in fact played by themselves.
