Demonic forces time-warp him - and his '73 Oldsmobile - into England's Dark Ages, where he romances a beauty (Embeth Davidtz) and faces legions of un-dead beasts, including a ghastly army of skeletons. The oldsmobile seen in this movie was owned personally by Sam Raimi. Throughout his early filmmaking career the car made numerous appearances in his films, and would be more damaged by the end of each shoot. While filming this movie he upped the anti dropping the car from a crane.
The original ending of this film revolves around Ash taking too much sleeping potion and waking up too late in a world destroyed by war, however this ending tested incredibly negatively with audiences and the ending you now see was put in it's place shortly before it's release.
