Jim Carrey (The Mask, Dumb and Dumber, Liar Liar) is on the case to find the Miami Dolphins missing mascot and quarterback Dan Marino. He goes eyeball to eyeball with a man-eating shark, stakes out the Miami Dolphins and woos and wows the ladies. Whether he's undercover, under fire or underwater, he always gets his man... or beast!

• While this movie was not Jim Carrey's first film, it was certainly the film that catapulted him to becoming one of the most sought after and highest paid comedians of all time.
• Cannibal Corpse is the band that performs in this film, they song they sing is called Hammer Smashed Face. The band was in the film at Jim Carrey's insistence as Cannibal Corpse was his favorite band at the time.
• Lauren Holly auditioned for the role of Melissa but ended up turning the role down, leaving the door open for Courteney Cox.
