-
This film was shot entirely in front of blue and green screens
in a mere 60 days in Montreal, Canada. However the post-production of this

pushed back from summer 2006 to winter 2007.
-
This film caused quite a controversy with the Iranian government
who claimed this film portrayed their ancestors, the Persians, in a negative
light. After the film's release, headlines ran in Iranian newspapers with
headlines like: "America Declares War On Iran" and the government declared
this was nothing more than psychological warfare.

The scenes involving the Oracle in which it appears that
she is floating were achieved by filming the actress underwater.
